On 14 May last, took place in Brussels, the meeting of the General Assembly EHPA, European Heat Pump Association, which included the active participation of AFEC represented by its Director General, José M ª Ortiz.

The event was preceded by a meeting of the National Association, whose President is José M ª Ortiz, in which different topics of interest to manufacturers, such as were discussed : Labeling Quality heat pumps, Statistics Market 2012 and the analysis of Decision 114/2013 of the European Commission, laying down guidelines for the calculation are determined by the Member States of renewable energy from heat pumps of different technologies.

In the afternoon of that day and in the course of the General Assembly, the representative of AFEC, gave a presentation entitled Statistics and national associations .

During the Assembly the financial report for the year 2012 and the budget for 2013 were approved and treated, among others, the following matters: summary of the activities of the European Association for the past year, legislative proposals, standards and standardization and projects for 2013 .

The next day, during the 6th European Forum Heat Pump subjected to analysis, with the participation of prominent speakers, the problems associated with the heat pump and the barriers that are slowing more widespread use of this technology combines high efficiency with the use of energy from renewable sources.
